Stuck In A Rut?
2016 is here and many of us have given ourselves plenty of excuses of why were are in a rut. You may feel that you have lost direction, passion, or focus, so instead of repeating the same patterns begin anew. I wanted to revisit this post because I feel like I have lost direction and have let fear take over again. I also have not enjoyed being in the moment or have practiced gratitude for the opportunities whether good or bad put in my path.
My day job is working in higher ed, however, any other time I can find I work on my passions: writing, blogging, and hopefully inspiring others. I know that the universe is pushing toward something else, but I am not sure what that is. I am one of those people who needs a push, a neon sign, a yell, you get the idea. But, let’s be honest I need my day job so I can pursue my other passions.
Are You Ready To Follow Your Dreams?
I am trying to find the joy I used to have at my current gig before I got jaded. When I look at other successful people who are following their bliss, each of them had a day job to pay the bills. And I need to pay my bills. So, I am trying to use some of my passions at my job like inspiring hope in my colleagues and friends. I have learned that it all starts with me and how I start each day. If I just stay focused on my goals instead of how hard it is to get out of the bed, maybe the universe will move a little faster.
Is this they year when I am going to start living the life of my own creation?
Instead of hoping I want to create it. What have you done to find your passion again? Are you living a life of your own creation? How did you do it? I would love to hear your thoughts. Do not forget to follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.
