Poop To Better Health
On my journey to healthy one of the things, I never considered was how much poop equates to wellness. This part of my journey started with back pain. After being given muscle relaxers by my primary physician for the pain and in the same breath being told not to take all of them because of the side effects, I figured now was the right time to look into other remedies. A referral from one of my co-workers led me to a great Chiropractor who helped me realize during my first consultation that I was constipated. And not just a little, a lot, and with one adjustment my toilet and I became close friends.
Let The Magic Happen
During this time I also began to see a Naturopathic doctor as well and what do you know the poop came up again. Before I equated pooping to wellness the thought of sitting on a toilet waiting for the magic to happen really annoyed me. Do you know much time you will spend pooping? Well, this poop calculator will help you do that. Yes, someone created that. Pooping was always an annoyance to me. I never viewed it as a way for my body to eliminate toxins. If you don’t poop those toxins stay in your body and the acne on my skin and lack of weight loss were sure signs that I needed to get rid of the pollutants in my body. But, what was stopping me from letting the magic happen?
Don’t Rush The Flush
The problem is the magic can happen at any time when you’re at work, the mall, doctor’s appointment, at your significant others house. We are not taught to love the power in the poop. So, we either rush the flush or wait till we get home instead of letting our bodies take care of us. When I finally started listening to my body, eating right, and gave in to the power of the poop my:
- Skin cleared up!
- I had more energy.
- I didn’t always feel constipated.
- I began to lose weight and I am currently down two dress sizes.
I hope this post makes you take a closer look at your bathroom schedule. All of us should be going at least two times a day. If you’re not, try drinking more water and changing your diet to more veggies and fiber. And feel free to comment below about the power of poop in your journey to healthy.
