Putting Yourself First
I haven’t written in so long, that I had to read a few blog posts to get started. But, now I am ready to get back into the swing of things and introduce you all to the new and improved The Cinderella Syndrome! I had to stop writing not because I didn’t have too many followers, I decided to quit, or because of time. I had to stop because I just was not feeling well. I talked about my health scare in Surgery Taught Me a Lesson in Humility. After I had my partial thyroid lobectomy and then coming to terms with permanent vocal cord paralysis I began to feel better, but then I started to feel sick again. Symptoms like fatigue, stomach irritation, anxiety, and the last straw back pain made me focus on my health. This focus has led me to a whole lifestyle change that I didn’t think I could stick to.
Your Worth The Cost
When you make the decision to put yourself first I want you to know that it will be expensive. The cost not only comes in monetary forms, you will also be using up other precious commodities like time and mental exertion. I first began the journey by seeking out new health care providers to get myself back On The Road To Healthy. And in true U.S. fashion, some things are not covered under my insurance. However, for the first time, in a long time, I decided that I was worth the cost. You can’t pinch pennies when it comes to your health.
When you start to do a total overhaul in one aspect of your life you then begin to transform other aspects as well. Looking at my blog I came to the realization that I did not put my full 100% into it. My blog needed a transformation too, so I got serious and hired someone to redesign The Cinderella Syndrome. Because this blog is not just another web page on the internet it truly is an extension of myself.
In the coming weeks, you are going to see more posts that will include two new blog topics on Wellness and Beauty and how I am doing on my journey. I am also really looking forward to finally posting some videos on Youtube. I know they are more of you also On The Road To Healthy, so come and join me. And don’t be afraid to comment on whatever led you to a health, career, or any type of life change below. I would love to hear your stories.
